Murchison Falls National Park – Uganda Wildlife Tours

At the heart of the park is its most iconic feature: Murchison Falls. Here, the Nile forces itself through a narrow 7-metre gorge before exploding in a thunderous cascade that forms a dramatic plume of mist and a permanent rainbow. This breathtaking display of nature’s strength is one of the most photographed attractions in Uganda and a must-see for every traveller.

A Paradise of Wildlife and Scenic Landscapes

The park is home to an impressive variety of wildlife, making it a prime destination for game viewing. Visitors can expect to encounter elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and hyenas, as well as a healthy population of Uganda’s unique Rothschild giraffes. The rolling savannah grasslands provide excellent visibility, offering multiple opportunities to witness predators on the hunt or herds grazing peacefully at sunrise.

Bird lovers will also feel at home in Murchison Falls National Park, which hosts over 450 bird species. Highlights include the rare shoebill stork, African fish eagle, Goliath heron, and colourful kingfishers that thrive along the Nile’s banks.
