7-Day Rwanda Wildlife & Gorilla Safari
Day 1 – Kigali to Akagera National Park & Game Drive
Begin your Rwanda safari from Kigali and travel east toward Akagera National Park. Enjoy an afternoon game drive across the park’s savannah and wetlands, searching for elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes and other wildlife. Continue to your safari lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2 – Akagera Wildlife Safari & Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Start with an early morning game drive for your final wildlife encounters in Akagera. Depending on timing, enjoy an optional boat safari on Lake Ihema before travelling north toward Volcanoes National Park. Arrive in the evening and prepare for your gorilla trekking adventure.
Day 3 – Volcanoes National Park Gorilla Trekking
Enjoy the highlight of your Rwanda safari with a guided mountain gorilla trekking experience in Volcanoes National Park. Walk through the beautiful Virunga forest in search of a habituated gorilla family. After the trek, return to your lodge and relax while enjoying views of Rwanda’s volcanic landscapes.
Day 4 – Golden Monkey or Cultural Experience & Kigali
